Privacy
Your information, handled the way we'd want ours handled.
This page says what we collect when you use this website, what we do with it, and who else touches it. It is short because we collect little.
Who we are
Tricity Flooring and Stairs, a division of Tricity Windows and Doors, based in Kitchener and Coboconk, Ontario. Questions about anything on this page: tricityflooringstairs@gmail.com or (519) 721-2924.
When you ask for a quote
The quote form asks for your name, email, phone, the type of project, the area you are in, and whatever you tell us about the job. We use it for one thing: to prepare your quote and follow up on it. We do not add you to a mailing list, and we do not sell or trade your details.
The form is run by our website provider, FrontSail Labs Inc. of Waterloo, Ontario, which stores each request in Canada and emails it to our inbox. Our replies come from the email addresses shown on this site.
We keep quote requests for as long as we need them to handle your project and any questions that come up afterwards. Ask, and we will delete yours.
When you use the chat
The chat window on this site is an AI assistant, not a person. It answers questions about our work and can take your details for a quote. Everything you type goes to it, so please keep payment details and anything sensitive out of the chat.
The assistant is run by our website provider, FrontSail Labs Inc. of Waterloo, Ontario. To write its replies it sends the conversation to OpenAI in the United States, so those messages leave Canada and are handled under the laws there. FrontSail keeps the conversation so we can follow up on what you asked, and the chat window loads a typeface from Google.
You never have to use it. The quote form and the phone number on this page reach us exactly the same way.
When you visit the site
We use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages people read — pages viewed, approximate location, device type. Google processes this on its own servers, which may be outside Canada. It does not receive anything you type into the quote form. To opt out, use Google's opt-out browser add-on or a content blocker; the site works the same either way.
Our hosting provider, FrontSail Labs Inc. of Waterloo, Ontario, keeps standard server logs — including IP addresses — for up to 90 days, for security and to count visits.
Your choices
You can ask what we hold about you, have it corrected, or have it deleted — email tricityflooringstairs@gmail.com or call (519) 721-2924. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
